The 2020 amendment to the rule rescinds the following july:

As noted below, some loans made beneath the NCUA’s Payday Alternative Loan (PALs) regulations are at the mercy of the CFPB Payday Rule. 2
CFPB Payday Rule Coverage
CFPB Payday Rule covers:

The CFPB Payday Rule conditionally exempts from coverage the next types of otherwise-covered loans:
